Abstract

Artistic adaptation of literary works, as one of the branches of comparative literature, tries to present new works based on the construction and content of previous texts by discovering multi layered relationships between narrative text and visual narration.
Linda Hutchen is a new theoretician in the field of postmodernism in literature, who presents new discourses of adaptation with post-constructivist views and abandoning the characteristics of traditional and faithful understanding of adaptation.
Considering the inappropriateness of most fairy tales to faithfully adapt and narrate exactly the same adventures and events, as well as the difficulty and special nature of choosing fairy tales with all the required dramatic features, it is necessary for writers to familiarize themselves with the ways of turning fairy tales into animation.
Considering what has been said, this article, based on Linda Hutchen's theory of adaptation, tries to provide indicators and solutions for turning fairy tales into animation by examining and analyzing structural features and dramatic elements of ancient Iranian stories from the perspective of animation capacities. Based on the findings of the research, analyzing the text of the old story and finding its visual features and different dramatic aspects along with recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of legends, adding or highlighting dramatic elements and strengthening various aspects of animation. , will increase movement, suspense and image in adapted animation.
