Purpose: Poetry holds a very high status in camp literature. For individuals who, for any reason, become imprisoned or incarcerated, the first literary spark that ignites within them to endure the harsh conditions of captivity is poetry. On the walls of the camp, alongside parallel lines marking the number of days of captivity, one can find Saib-style couplets that, according to the state of the prisoners, convey various meanings. Among these, poems of separation and grievance against fate (habsieh) stand out more prominently than other types of poetry. In this context, letters contain a significant portion of captivity poetry and are considered part of resistance literature. Method/Research: This research is based on the qualitative content analysis of prisoners' letters, supported by concrete and tangible evidence. Findings/Results: In camp literature: 1) It encompasses everything from refined poetry to popular verse. 2) In its mystical poetry, being a prisoner in jail is considered better than being a prisoner of one's own self. 3) In this genre of literature, worldly imprisonment and captivity can serve as means for self-purification. 4) Pure mystical poetry emerges as a result of heartbreak and seclusion. 5) Poems with themes of perseverance and resistance gain meaning when they are rooted in religion.
