Legends are one of the types of folk literature that have been used in the past as a way to transfer knowledge and information. North Khorasan is one of the provinces that has rich and rich legends and stories. This province includes various ethnic groups such as Turks, Turkmens, Kurds, and Tats, each of which is considered a useful source for research in the field of popular culture. In this research, the legends of the Tat tribe of Sankhast Jalga have been discussed. The element that is most visible in these legends and gives life to them are the themes, the purpose of this research is to extract these themes and present their scientific classification based on the theory of Arne Thompson Other. In this research, the most important themes of 30 Tati stories, including real creatures and animals, unreal and imaginary creatures and animals, people, common events and actions, unusual events and actions, concepts and topics, etc., are analyzed in a descriptive-analytical way. Been investigated. The result of this classification is the determination of the most frequent type of each subject, which is jackal, simorgh, king, sewing slippers, animals talking and falling in love, respectively. The main and written source of these 30 legends is the book "Desert Nights" written by Hossein Eskandari. The achievement of this article is that the legends of this region have common roots with Iranian legends and it is possible to understand the beliefs and customs of the people of this tribe from .
