The poem "Iran Belongs to You" by Bahar is a prominent example of anti-colonial literature from the Qajar era, which integrates the discourses of nationalism and religious sentiment to present a harmonious depiction of these two concepts. This work was composed during a period when Iran faced significant challenges, including foreign threats, colonial interventions, and internal crises. By blending national and religious themes and employing rhetorical and metaphorical language, Bahar sought to strengthen the sense of responsibility and national-religious awareness among his audience. This article adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the linguistic elements, poetic imagery, and metaphors within the poem, analyzing their role in reflecting the socio-political conditions of the time. The central question of the research is how Bahar utilized the combination of national and religious discourses to encourage his audience toward social and political action. Findings reveal that the poet's repetition of the phrase "Iran Belongs to You" not only emphasizes the Iranian people's attachment to their homeland but also serves as a call for national unity and resistance against internal and external challenges. Furthermore, Bahar's use of historical and religious concepts enabled him to present a cautionary image of Iran under threat. The primary objective of this research is to demonstrate how Bahar employed external threats and internal crises as a catalyst for national and religious awakening, thereby laying the groundwork for a robust anti-colonial discourse. This analysis sheds light on the broader role of poetry in the social and political struggles of the Qajar period.
